JOB VACANCY – HVAC DESIGN ENGINEER
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
University Degree in Mechanical Engineering; post-graduation in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is preferable.
Minimum Experience:
7 years or plus experience in petrochemical, oil, gas, refinery, or engineering companies with minimum 5 years in design office.
Large project experience, secondment experience, multi-lines of business experience, experience in multiple project phases.
Job Specific Skills:
To be competent in several of the following areas:
Deep knowledge of relevant local and international codes, standards and regulations such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, AHRI, ASTM, IMC, NFPA, PIP, RC Standards, SBC, HCIS, SHEMS and industrial practices.
Strong knowledge of engineering theories and principles by adding value to the business through making sound recommendations or decisions.
Deep knowledge in design of HVAC and Plumbing systems with hands-on experience using internationally recognized software such as ELITE and HAP.
Experience in design of HVAC and Plumbing systems for multi-story buildings and structures with knowledge of design optimization for better project economy and constructability.
Design of Industrial Air Conditioning Systems and selection and application of HVAC equipment.
Knowledge in value engineering techniques and practices.
Validate critical code and standard specific requirements during approval of vendor documents.
Good knowledge in preparing the technical part of engineering contract packages.
Knowledge of design optimization.
Demonstrated good knowledge of LEED ratings.
Knowledge of interdisciplinary engineering workflow.
Knowledge of proposal work including development of designs, work scope splits or interface definition, establishment of deliverables, IT application usage and man-hour estimates.
Knowledge of development and training needs identification for the technical team.

SCE registration mandatory
